She was born on 1st March, 1980 in Moscow to the family of the director of the company that manufactures fur Gregory T. and a Russian economist Tatyana Semenovich. As a young girl was ill, she fell ill. It took her six months to be hospitalized. The illness was later confirmed as having Rheumatoid arthritis. He was famous for his skating exploits alongside Denis Samokhin, a compatriot. Both of them competed in two separate Junior World Championships placing 8th in 1993 and 7th 1994. She briefly collaborated with Maxim Kachanov and they were then placed 5 at during the 1994 Goodwill Games she then teamed up alongside Vladimir Fedorov in 1995. Both were successful with their partnership as they each took home the Finlandia Trophy and participated in the Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Together, they achieved even more success, but their best moment was placing 15th in 1998's World Championships.
