Emily Irene VanCamp was originally looking to become a dancer but after a visit to her sister Katie's set on Ladies Room, she became more inclined to act. She started taking acting classes. She also got roles as a guest on a TV show in her native Canada. You Are Afraid of Darkness was one of her many TV shows. Radio Active and Dice. VanCamp had a big success in his career when getting a role on Glory Days, the WB mystery horror show. Even although the show had received favorable reviews, the show unfortunately was cancelled after only 9 episodes due to its poor ratings. Despite her May 12, 1986 birth date she was offered an appearance on Everwood in its cast as Amy Abbott. Her performance earned her nominations for a Young Artist Award and four Teen Choice Awards.
